A new mobile application, Roamer, was introduced for the first time as part of the TNW Conference, taking place in Amsterdam from April 24 to 26. The app, also called the ‘roaming killer’, provides a service which reduces the cost of calls abroad by up to 90%, while allowing the user to keep his ‘home’ phone number. The developers of Roamer are convinced that the race for mobile operators to make huge profits must be stopped and all travellers must be given the right to communicate freely.
